Approach and anchoring
Enter Little Sodus Bay from Lake Ontario through the marked channel at Fair Haven. The bay offers protected water on all sides; head for the south-west corner.
Practical
More than 80 berths, with or without 30 amp shore power; water at every dock. Heads and showers in the bathhouse, fish-cleaning station, ice, pump-out. On-site boatyard with a 30-ton travel lift, mast-stepping, indoor and outdoor storage.
Ashore
Fair Haven village within walking distance for shops and food. Fair Haven Beach State Park on the north-east shore of the bay for swimming and walking trails, about 2 km by road.
Story
The marina hosts the Lake Ontario pen-rearing project: every spring around 25,000 chinook salmon and 4,250 steelhead are held in pens here before being released, run jointly by NYSDEC and local angler groups.
