Approach and anchoring
Enter Sodus Bay from Lake Ontario through the buoyed channel at Sodus Point between the breakwaters. NOAA chart 14814. The marina sits roughly 3 nm south inside the bay, at Catchpole Shore Road in the town of Huron.
Practical
216 berths plus 20 transient berths, vessels up to 90 ft. Fuel berth with petrol, swimming pool, on-site Boatyard Pub and Grill restaurant. Motor boat, kayak, and paddle boat rentals. Four Adirondack-style cabins sleeping six and a five-bedroom inn for hire.
Ashore
Sodus Bay itself, 5 miles long, is open to dinghy sailing and kayaking from the marina. Chimney Bluffs State Park, with 150 ft eroded clay spires on Lake Ontario, is 8 miles by road to the east.
