Anchorage off the northern tip of Cap Corse, west of Barcaggio hamlet and opposite the Giraglia island.

Approach and anchoring
Strong winds funnel around the cape, with a venturi between the cape and the Giraglia. Mixed sand and rock bottom; check that the anchor is set clear of rock. Shelter from W only; exposed to E, SE, S and SW. Barcaggio anchorage proper is 0.3 NM to the east, Centuri 3.2 NM to the SW on the west coast.
Ashore
Barcaggio hamlet has a small beach and a handful of restaurants open in summer. The Sentier des Douaniers of Cap Corse passes through the village and climbs towards the Tour d'Agnello Genoese watchtower. The Giraglia lighthouse, built in 1848, stands on the island 1 NM offshore.
