Approach and anchoring
Entry from the lagoon via the narrow Suttel channel. Lagoon depths shoal rapidly outside the marked line. Tramontane can build short steep chop across the étang from the NW. VHF 48. Maximum draught 1.8 metres in the basin.
Practical
Fuel point at the harbour. Water and electricity on pontoons. Thermal quarter shops, bakery and supermarket within 400 to 600 metres. Atelier Bilbo yard at 0.1 NM SW for small repairs.
Ashore
Thermes de Balaruc-les-Bains at 500 metres from the quay, France's busiest thermal spa with around 50000 cures per year. Lagoon-side promenade round the Balaruc peninsula, 6 km loop. Oyster and mussel tables of the Étang de Thau visible from the shore, tastings at producer shacks between Balaruc and Bouzigues at 3 km.
