Strong tidal streams off the Cap de la Hague, up to 8 knots at springs in the Raz Blanchard just to the west. Enter at slack water. Sandy bottom, good holding. Sheltered from SE through SW to W; exposed to any N to NE.
Practical
Open anchorage, no services. Port Racine, the smallest port in France, lies 3.1 nm to the NW and gives shelter if the wind shifts.
Ashore
GR 223 sentier des douaniers runs along the cliffs above the bay. The Cap de la Hague lighthouse at Goury stands 4.9 nm to the west.
