Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south in open water. Keep clear of Île Rousse and its off-lying rocks on the eastern side of the bay. No buoyed channel, sound in carefully as depths shoal close to the shore. Anchor on sand patches between rock, typical depths 5 to 10 metres.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no services. Bandol plaisance lies 1.4 nautical miles east for fuel, water and provisioning. Port Athena is 0.8 nautical miles south-east.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral runs along the Pointe de la Cride headland above the bay. Bandol town centre, shops and the fish market sit a 25 minute walk east around the coast path.
