Approach and anchoring

Approach from the west in settled weather. The bottom is posidonia seagrass, which is protected under French law; anchoring on posidonia is prohibited where buoys or sand patches are available. Look for sand clearings between the meadows and drop there, or use an eco-mooring buoy if installed.

Practical

Algae and posidonia bottom, variable holding, inspect the anchor by snorkel. Shelter from N, NE, E, SE and S; exposed to W and SW where the prevailing afternoon sea breeze builds. No services in the cove. Port Tino Rossi in Ajaccio 5.4 nm north for all services.

Ashore

The cove sits within the Natura 2000 marine site Grand Herbier de la Côte Orientale extension on the west coast, with posidonia meadows and reef fish. The coastline is scrubland with holm oak and maquis, with no road access to the cove itself.
