Approach and anchoring

Approach from the Moselle, a Class Vb waterway here, with lock operations managed by VNF. Lock at Metz just downstream. No tidal constraint. Fairway marked by standard French inland buoyage.

Practical

120 berths on pontoons with water and electricity, plus toilets and showers. Visitor berths lie just inside the entrance and are easy to reach. Max draught 2 m allows seagoing yachts transiting the Moselle-Rhine axis. A Carrefour and a fuel station are 600 m away, and bus line L5 runs into Metz from the main road. Overflow at Moulin-lès-Metz 0.4 NM west and at the Port de plaisance de Metz 1.8 NM NE.

Ashore

Metz city centre and the Cathedral of Saint-Étienne, with one of the largest Gothic stained-glass surfaces in Europe, reachable within 3 km. Centre Pompidou-Metz open Wednesday to Monday, 2 km from the club. Banks of the Moselle laid out as a riverside promenade.
