Approach and anchoring

Canal navigation only. Maximum draught 1,8 m. Speed limit 6 km/h on the reach. Quiet rural section between the Strasbourg branch and the chain of locks towards Saverne.

Practical

10 berths along the bank, part of them taken by the Les Canalous hire base, so a free space is not guaranteed. Water and electricity from an all-hours machine, around 5 euros for 8 hours. No fuel and no toilets at the halt. A bakery in the village is a short walk away, and there is an Intermarché in the next village. Port Soiffel-Weyersheim 8.4 M south-east and Steinbourg 8.5 M west as alternative stops with more services.

Ashore

A restaurant next to the halt closes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Grain silos rise directly behind the quay, so at harvest time in late September lorries come and go through the day and late into the night.
