Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the west and close the beach to find sand, which begins in about 5 metres of water. Good holding on sand. Protection from N, NE and NW. Open to the S and SW, leave before any southerly wind. A westerly swell sets in often and makes the anchorage roll even in light airs, though crews report sleeping through it.

Practical

No services. Port Tino Rossi in Ajaccio 5 NM E for berths, water, fuel and all shops.

Ashore

A restaurant stands on the beach behind the anchorage. Sentier des Cretes footpath runs along the coast towards the Parata tower and the Sanguinaires archipelago to the west. Ajaccio city centre 5 NM to the east for Napoleon's birthplace and the Fesch museum.
