Approach and anchoring

Sand bottom with good holding, open to W and SW swell that makes it roll and can build dangerously quickly. Approach from the gulf on a SW heading, clear of the rocky shoreline, watching a reef in the eastern part of the cove and shallows close inshore. The yellow buoys marked mooring forbidden are laid well offshore, reported at 500 to 800 metres from the beach rather than the nominal 300, and close off mooring to the buoys themselves. Boats anchor on the sand outside the buoy line in 6 to 12 metres.

Practical

No services in the cove and no mobile or internet reception. Nearest shelter is Port Tino Rossi in Ajaccio, 5.5 NM to the east, with Dingy Dock at the same distance.

Ashore

A small restaurant stands behind the beach, a long strand of sand with a naturist section to one side. Landing the dinghy is easier on the left-hand side of the beach, where a sandy step and some backwash make getting on and off awkward.
