Approach and anchoring

Entry is through a swing bridge that opens every 30 minutes on request. Call Darsena Vecchia on VHF 9 from outside the port to arrange an opening. When cargo ships or cruise liners are moving, wait outside. Request the opening an hour ahead and leave the berth only once the bridge starts to swing. The basin is fully sheltered but narrow. Marina boatmen assist berthing.

Practical

Book ahead by email or phone, as visitor berths are few. An 11 m boat paid 36 euros a night in October 2024. In September 2025 a night cost 47 euros with water and power. Fuel cannot be taken on from the water, and the marina lends trolleys for cans. Toilets and showers are clean but dated. Bins are inside the washroom block, whose key needs a 20 euro cash deposit. A supermarket is 50 m away.

Ashore

A fishing boat at the southern end of the marina fries and sells its catch. Verso il Maestrale serves fresh fish on the harbour. A bakery facing the quay sells focaccia from 7 am. The covered market and the pedestrian shopping street are a short walk away. In July 2026 a film festival was held in the castle courtyard. Nightlife is about 15 minutes on foot.
