Tidal marina of 700 berths on the Côte de Granit Rose in northern Brittany, between Lannion and Perros-Guirec.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west via the channel marked by the Le Crapaud cardinal and the Bar-ar-Gall west cardinal. The marina sits behind a sill that retains water above chart datum +2.5 m, opening through a 15 m gate roughly 3 hours either side of high water. A strong current runs at the gate, so on coefficients over 70 wait about 10 to 20 minutes after it opens before entering or leaving. Boats under 12 m berth on pontoon G to the left, larger boats to the right, with waiting buoys outside. Do not rely on a full 2.8 m: some boats near that draught touch at the ends of G once the basin drops to sill level, so ask for the deeper middle pontoons. The visitor pontoon can be exposed in strong northerlies. VHF 9.
Practical
700 berths including around 90 for visitors on the west pontoon. Diesel at the fuel berth. Water, electricity, toilets and showers on the pontoons, though the sanitary blocks are dated with a refit planned; good WiFi and a launderette by the bar. Free electric bikes and a shuttle bus, and staff will fetch crew from Lannion station and run crews up to the supermarket. Travel lift and boatyard on site. Reckon on good value, around 32 euros for a 12 m boat. Bread from the harbour office.
Ashore
The restaurant Les Voiles, opposite the marina, is well regarded. Ile Milliau is reached on foot at low water via the causeway 700 m from the harbour, a classified natural site, though it needs a tidal coefficient over 70 and leaves only about a 2 hour window ashore. A Tuesday market is held at the Place des Iles, 10 minutes away, and an Intermarche is 15 to 25 minutes uphill. GR 34 coastal path passes the marina, reaching Tregastel beaches 6 km to the east. Village centre with grocers and bakeries 500 m uphill.
History
The marina was opened in 1991 after completion of the retaining sill, turning a drying anchorage into one of the few deepwater harbours on the Trégor coast.
