Anchorage off Spiaggia del Morto on the north coast of La Maddalena island, inside the La Maddalena archipelago nature reserve in Sardinia. In 2026 anchoring required a park permit. Sand bottom, sheltered from east and south.

Approach and anchoring
A rock lies just awash in the middle of the bay, hard to see with a low morning sun. In June 2026 its charted position was about 20 m out on one electronic chart. Outcrops also stand on each side of the entrance. Large sand patches lie to the east. Some sand lies on rock slabs and gives no holding. Holding was good in August 2025 with the scirocco gusting 20 kn.
Practical
In 2026 a park permit was needed to anchor, and anchoring without one drew a fine of 50 euros a day. In 2018 overnight stays were officially prohibited. A campsite stood ashore in 2018, with no other facilities.
