Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter Christiansted harbour from the north between Fort Louise Augusta and Round Reef, or by the deeper route round the west side of Round Reef. Cruising guides advise against a night entry, as some buoys are unlit. Sand bottom. Sheltered from east round through south to west, open to the north, so it rolls when a northerly swell runs.
Practical
Navily lists water and a dinghy pontoon nearby. Christiansted harbour is a designated anchoring area. DPNR requires an anchoring permit for recreational vessels that hold no mooring permit. St. Croix Marine in Gallows Bay, with fuel and haul-out, is about 500 metres south.
