Guide

Approach and anchoring

Call the Guardia Costiera on +39 0184 505531 before coming alongside. Berths lie along the stone quay by the fuel station. Rings and bollards are spaced far apart, so carry long lines. Rusty chains hang on the wall, and in 2026 the wall had two steps below the waterline, so approach slowly with thick fenders. VHF 16.

Practical

In 2026 the five berths, for boats up to 12 m, were free for two nights at most. Papers are shown at the Guardia Costiera office across the road, open mornings and on Thursdays from 15:00 to 16:00 in 2025. There is no water or power on the quay. In 2026 the fuel station gave water free with a diesel fill. There are rubbish containers. Cars and scooters drive along the quay, and in June 2026 traffic and streetlights continued all night.

Ashore

The old town is a short walk away, with steep streets up to the sanctuary. A chandlery nearby sells gas bottles, and a food shop by the Guardia Costiera office stocks fresh meat and vegetables. Local fishermen sell fish and prawns. Osteria Camelot is near the market.
