Approach and anchoring

The old harbour lies next to the larger Portosole marina, close to the town centre. Boats under 12 m lie alongside the south pier next to the fuel berth, where 4 m was found in June 2024. Bollards are far apart, so carry long lines. Lie alongside, as using the lazy lines along the quay can draw a fine. In June 2023 only 4 visitor places were left. Call on VHF 16.

Practical

In 2022 boats under 12 m stayed free for up to 3 nights, and the quay was still free in 2024. Registration was with the Guardia Costiera at the harbour entrance, open mornings only. Larger boats were sent to Portosole in 2019 and 2020. No water, power or shower. Moored crews can give the code for the quay gate. Bin lorries work the quay around 8:00 daily, Sundays included. The yacht club charged 44 euros a night for a 14 m boat in 2023.

Ashore

The old town of La Pigna and a cathedral overlooking the town are a short walk from the quay. A fried-fish boat opposite the harbour office sells fresh sardines. A dinghy may be left at the fishermen's wharf opposite a supermarket. Buses run to Bussana.
