Approach and anchoring
Approach from the N along the Corsican east coast. The point gives shelter from NW, W and SW winds off the Bonifacio plateau but is open to the E and SE, where swell builds quickly with a Levant wind. Seabed is a mix of sand and rock, so anchor in the middle of the cove in 6 to 8 metres on clear sand and check the set. Wash from passing boats is the main drawback. The area lies within the Bouches de Bonifacio nature reserve, where anchoring on Posidonia is forbidden.
Practical
No services on the point. Sant'Amanza 2.2 NM to the SW is a larger anchorage with seasonal mooring buoys. Bonifacio harbour, 5.1 NM to the SW, has a full marina with fuel, water and repairs.
Ashore
A small beach of white pebbles lies at the head of the cove.
