Guide

Approach and anchoring

Sailing yachts berth bows-to for rudder clearance, with stern lines to a buoy. Long stern lines are needed. Marina boatmen take the lines on arrival and departure. In 2021 the main wall was kept for superyachts. Southerly and south-east swell makes the harbour roll. In August 2025 the roll in a calm sea sent one crew to Santa Margherita Ligure for the night. Ferry traffic was frequent until 7 pm in 2025. VHF went unanswered in October 2023, but the office responded at once.

Practical

12 visitor berths in 2025, 3 of them for yachts over 40 m. Book early. A night cost 170 euros for 10 m and 280 euros for 13.5 m in 2025. A lunch stop cost 70 euros for 10 m in 2024. Water and power were a compulsory extra in 2021 and 2023. There were no crew toilets or showers in 2025. Check-in from 2 pm, check-out by noon in 2023. In 2025 there was no supermarket, and provisioning and repairs were limited.

Ashore

The berths face the main piazza, ringed by about 15 restaurants. A climb leads to the castle, with entry at 5 euros in 2023, and to the church of San Giorgio. Buses run to Santa Margherita Ligure and Rapallo. Live music played on Mondays in 2024.
