Small drying fishing harbour on the west side of the Quiberon peninsula in Morbihan, Brittany. It takes the ground at low water and anchoring outside the harbour is prohibited.

Approach and anchoring

West-facing cove on the Côte Sauvage, fully exposed to Atlantic swell. Rocky bottom and marked prohibition of anchoring in the approaches. Shelter only from E, SE, S and SW winds inside the harbour basin.

Practical

The harbour fills with local boats in season and has no visitor mooring buoys. Use Port-Haliguen on the east side of the peninsula at 3.2 NM SE, or Port-Maria at 3.4 NM S, both with full visitor facilities. Portivy itself serves local fishing boats.

Ashore

Côte Sauvage coastal path GR 34 passes directly above the harbour, with waymarked cliffs and coves for several kilometres north and south. From the shore Fort Penthièvre and the islet of Téviec come into view, with Lorient beyond on a clear day. Saint-Pierre-Quiberon village 1 km inland for shops and bakery.
