- Harbour
Tidal harbour of 151 berths on the north-east shore of Arcachon Bay, at Andernos-les-Bains.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter from the main Arcachon Bay channel then follow the local marks toward the Bétey creek. Wide drying banks around the approach, so arrival within two hours of high water is needed. Shallow-draught boats only.
Practical
151 narrow berths managed by the town, part of the pontoons recently rebuilt with water, electricity and a security gate. Simple toilets ashore. Billing needs a French address, so the port is not well set up for overseas visitors. A Spar is close by and an Intermarche about 15 minutes on foot, with a bus to Bordeaux 500 m away. Marine fuel at Port de Fontainevieille 1.1 NM SE, the oyster port of Andernos 0.8 NM NW.
Ashore
Andernos-les-Bains jetty runs 232 metres into the bay, a short walk from the harbour. Shops and weekly market in the town centre within 500 metres. Sandy bay beaches next to the port.
