Guide

Approach and anchoring

Practical

Primarily a working port for oyster growers, limited visitor capacity. Tie-up reserved in priority for professionals. Plan to use Port du Bétey or Port de Fontainevieille 1.8 NM SE for overnight stays.

Ashore

Oyster shacks along the quay serve local Arcachon oysters on the half-shell. Jetée d'Andernos, the longest pier in the bay at 232 m, starts 300 m west of the port. Sentier du littoral runs around the bassin past salt meadows and bird reserves.
