Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south-east along the red porphyry coast. Entrance facing south between two breakwaters. Maximum draught 1.8 m, so deeper keels should check at the harbour office. VHF channel 9.

Practical

218 berths with a fuel berth, water and electricity, and sanitary blocks with showers. Staff help with mooring on request. A baker calls at the harbour each morning with bread and croissants, and a small shop sits at the marina entrance; otherwise provisioning is limited, with the la Fourmi grocery about 15 minutes on foot. Reckon on around 17 euros a night for a 10 m boat. Water is charged.

Ashore

A small sandy beach adjoins the harbour, with beach restaurants on either side, Matipi among the better ones. A free shuttle bus runs to Theoule for shopping. Le Trayas station on the Marseille to Ventimiglia line is 400 m away. The sentier du littoral follows the Esterel cliffs east towards La Galere, and the Pic du Cap Roux path climbs to a 452 m summit over the Golfe de la Napoule.
