Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south between the Lérins islands and the coast. Entrance protected by two breakwaters with red and green lights at the pier heads. Maximum draught 7 m at the outer berths. VHF channel 9 for the harbour office. Mistral from the north-west can raise swell outside the bay.

Practical

553 berths, roughly 20 to 45 euros a night by length and good value. Booking is by website or email only, with no phone reservations, and replies can be slow or never come, so confirm before relying on a berth; both Cannes ports close entirely during the September yachting festival, though the fuel station stays open for fuel and water. Fuel, water and electricity at the entrance pier and on the pontoons. Sanitary blocks are clean but hot and poorly ventilated, and the WiFi is weak. Harbour office open year-round, with dockhands to help berthing.

Ashore

Plage de la Croisette within walking distance west of the port. Boulevard de la Croisette and its hotels 700 m west, Palais des Festivals et des Congrès 1.6 km west along the Croisette. Small but pricey shops are close, with a larger Intermarche about 10 minutes by bike. The Baoli nightclub nearby and traffic on the Croisette can be heard late at night.
