Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north between the Île Noire and the mainland. Rocky foreshore to the west and south. Sheltered from NE, E and SE winds. Exposed to the swell from the north. Water tap ashore at the slipway.
Practical
Eight visitor moorings laid by the municipality in season, but these suit only small craft up to about 9 metres; a larger boat anchors instead, with room and good holding roughly mid-channel. Water point at the slipway. No fuel, no sanitary block. Nearest services at Plougasnou village, 2 km inland.
Ashore
GR34 coastal path passes above the beach and leads to the Pointe de Primel at 2 km, a classified headland of pink granite. Plougasnou church of Saint-Pierre, Romanesque portal dated 12th century, stands 2 km inland.
Story
In fresh NE weather the bay at Port Diben, 2.4 NM to the NE, offers a closer alternative shelter than the longer run to Roscoff-Bloscon, 5.2 NM NW.
