Approach and anchoring

Reach via the Canal de l'Aisne à la Marne. Loivre sits between the Alger lock 2.3 NM to the north-west and the Courcy halt 1.7 NM to the south-east. VNF-operated lock schedule applies.

Practical

Four berths along the towpath, bollards, with more room to lie on the towpath before the lock. Village commerce runs to a bakery, a Proxi grocery and a pizzeria. Loivre station on the Reims to Laon line is about a 20 minute walk.

Ashore

Communal war cemetery on the northern edge of the village, with graves from the 1914 to 1918 battles along the Aisne-Marne front. Footpaths along the canal bank toward Courcy to the south-east.
