Approach and anchoring
Approach through the Perros-Guirec buoyed channel from the north, past the Pointe du Château, which keeps out the west swell. Holding is good on sand. Shelter from SE round to NW through W; exposed to N and NE, where a chop sets in. Anchor outside the mooring buoys and clear of the channel, choosing a spot by the depth required. Mind the drying granite heads towards Pors Rolland. VHF 9.
Practical
Perros-Guirec marina 0.2 NM east for water, diesel, showers and chandlery. Shops and restaurants of the Trestraou seafront within 300 m. Ploumanac'h harbour 2.5 NM NW.
Ashore
Trestraou sand beach and the thalassotherapy centre of Perros-Guirec front the anchorage. GR 34 sentier des Douaniers starts from the west end of the beach and runs 4.5 km through the pink granite chaos to Ploumanac'h lighthouse. Boat trips to the Sept-Îles reserve leave from Trestraou jetty.
