Approach and anchoring
Approach at rising tide; the whole bay dries over wide sand and mud flats at low water. Follow the channel buoyed from the Fosse de Fromentine. Drop on mud, 1 to 3 metres at half-tide. Shelter from NW through SW; exposed to E and SE across the bay of Bourgneuf.
Practical
No services on site. Noirmoutier-en-l'Île harbour lies 1 nm NW with water, diesel and shops. Port de Morin is 2.8 nm W.
Ashore
The salt marshes of Noirmoutier stretch inland from the shore; working salt pans visible from the coastal path. The Passage du Gois, a 4.1 km tidal causeway to the mainland, starts at the south end of the island.
