Buoy mooring off the east side of Budelli island, in the La Maddalena archipelago national park, northern Sardinia. Eight buoys on sand, sheltered from the west and open to the east. Access to the nearby pink beach is regulated.

Approach and anchoring

Anchor on sand in 4 to 8 m, clear of the rocks marked on the chart. The sand can be only a few centimetres deep over rock, so check that the anchor has dug in. Weed was abundant in September 2025. The cove is well sheltered from the west, including in 25 kn westerlies in September 2025. Day boats crowd it from about 10.30 am to 5 pm. Small boats pass through, not always at slow speed.

Practical

The yellow park buoys were new in 2025 and are free with the national park pass. Those marked as commercial, and those near the beach, are kept for tour boats by day. In September 2025 they could be taken from 5 pm to 9 am. Buoys tend to free up from late afternoon. Two catamarans played loud music until 1 am in August 2025.

Ashore

The dinghy reaches the lagoon and the small beaches facing the anchorage. In May 2026 the path from the landing towards the pink beach faded into scrub after a few metres. A short path to Cavalieri beach was open, with swimming allowed but no walking on the sand. The pink beach is closed to visitors, and in May 2026 dinghies were turned away from the landing beside it.
