Approach and anchoring
Anchor on sand in about 8 metres, choosing a clear patch, as holding is poor over the surrounding posidonia. Charted depths can read wrong, so sound in. A rock at the starboard side of the entrance takes a shore line for lying fore and aft. Sheltered from W through S to E, exposed to N and NW winds funnelling down from the Marseilleveyre hills; the mistral makes it untenable. Motorboat wake works in by day, calm at night.
Practical
Within the Parc national des Calanques marine area. Mooring on posidonia is regulated and ecological buoys are in place in parts of the archipelago during summer months.
Ashore
Port des Goudes lies 1.1 nm to the NW for a small fishing harbour and a handful of restaurants. Callelongue village sits at the head of the next calanque with access to the GR 98 coastal path.
