Approach and anchoring
River access on the Saône. The halte occupies a former lock; berth at the newer pontoon just outside it, as the old chamber can choke with weed. It is well sheltered from the wash of passing commercial ships. Ponton Port Ouroux lies 3.5 NM to the north.
Practical
About 1 euro per metre, roughly 10 euros for a 10 m boat, with water, electricity, WiFi and waste sorting included. No showers or toilets. The restaurant above the halte has closed. Shops are a distance away, the town of Chalon-sur-Saône lying 19 km north; the halte makes a useful staging point for reaching the Chalon marina, which takes no bookings.
