Approach from the N along the cap. Sand bottom, good holding. Exposed to winds from N and NE, seek shelter in Port d'Erquy 2.4 nm SW if the wind turns. A swell tends to work in and builds around high water, so it suits a daytime stop better than a night at anchor. The Hôpitaux rocks lie 0.3 nm SE, keep clear of the drying reefs at low water.

Forain anchoring. No services on site. Port d'Erquy to the SW is an echouage harbour with shops and the scallop fleet.
