Approach and anchoring

Approach from the S in clear water. Sheltered from N, NE, W and NW; exposed to E through S swell, with little shelter once wind or southerly swell gets up. Anchor on the sand patches in the middle in about 5 to 6 m, keeping well off the shore where rocks outcrop at the edges of the coves, notably on the NE side, and the posidonia rises quickly. Avoid dropping on the seagrass, which is protected under French law. Boats often pass close and fast.

No services. Port privé du Cap Bénat lies 1 NM to the E, Bormes-les-Mimosas harbour 2.1 NM to the NE for berths, fuel, water and shops.

Ashore

Cap Bénat is a private wooded peninsula with no public landing at the mooring itself, though the western cove has a small white pebble beach. The sentier du littoral runs along the coast and gives walking access to neighbouring coves. Village of Bormes-les-Mimosas, a labelled site with a medieval castle, is 3 km inland from the port.
