Approach and anchoring
Enter the bay between the Pointe de Mousterlin to the west and Beg Meil to the east. Watch for the rocky shoals off Beg Meil, marked by cardinal buoys. A field of about twelve large white mooring buoys laid by Port-la-Forêt lies close by; they may only be used with the marina's authorisation, so most boats anchor alongside on sand, where holding is good. Penfoulic 0.9 NM north and Cap Coz 1 NM north lie inside the bay for closer shelter.
Practical
Forain anchorage on sand, no facilities on site. Port-la-Forêt marina further up the bay provides full services, fuel and a boatyard.
Ashore
Several small sandy beaches around the anchorage allow a dinghy landing, and a coastal footpath follows the shore towards Beg Meil. A bar and small restaurants stand by the beach in season.
