Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom, sheltered from north round through east to south-east. Pick up a reserve buoy, one boat per buoy, for boats up to 25 metres and 20 tonnes. Anchoring is allowed only inside the designated area of the bay, outside the buoy field, with the whole boat inside the zone. Speed limit 5 knots in the bay.
Practical
The reserve has 40 ecological buoys between Colombier and Île Fourchue. Stays are limited to 96 consecutive hours, after which the boat must spend 96 hours outside the reserve. Boats over 25 metres are not allowed. Insurance with a wreck removal clause is compulsory. No jet skis, towed sports or underwater lights.
Ashore
The beach has no road access. A footpath of about 750 metres climbs from Petite Anse, beyond Flamands, 20 to 30 minutes each way. The only house visible from the beach belonged to David Rockefeller.
