Guide

Approach and anchoring

Enter the Golfe du Morbihan through the Port-Navalo pass, currents up to 8 knots at spring tides, only workable near slack water. There is room to anchor between the buoy fields, where the current is slight, on sand and weed with fair holding. A 0.4 m shoal between the Réchauds and the pontoons is marked by green buoys easily mistaken for moorings, so give it room. Sheltered from W, exposed to E and SE fetch, with heavy motorboat wash by day until late evening and calm at night. VHF 9.

Practical

A harbour service runs a shore shuttle in season until about 2200 and helps with the buoys. Depths at some pontoon berths are less than the declared draught, so give a generous draught when booking. Water and electricity on the pontoon at Port-Blanc 0.1 NM to the south. Arradon marina 1.1 NM to the NE for fuller provisioning.

Ashore

Embarkation point for the Île-aux-Moines ferry at Port-Blanc, crossing every 30 minutes. Coastal footpath around the Presqu'île d'Arradon starts at the slipway.
