Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south between Île de Groix and the mainland. Sand bottom gives fair holding. About 188 moorings fill much of the cove, close-set and best for boats up to around 10 metres; there is room to anchor clear of them, and the head of the cove under the small red and white light lies well sheltered from N to ENE. Shelter from N, NE and NW, but a NW wind over 10 knots pushes a westerly swell in and makes it roll; fully open to southerly swell.

Practical

The moorings are managed and charged, around 12 euros for a boat over 8 metres. Small fishing harbour of Lomener sits 0.1 NM SW with slipway and village services. Toulhars anchorage lies 1.9 NM E toward Larmor-Plage for alternative shelter.

Ashore

Walk into Lomener village for bakery and small shops within 300 m of the landing, with a large supermarket close by and a market on Monday mornings. The GR34 coastal path runs along the clifftop above the anse and continues east toward Larmor-Plage beach at 3 km.
