Approach and anchoring
Enter Wickford Harbour from the west side of Narragansett Bay. Approach depth is around 12 metres of water reported, with roughly 2 metres at the berths. The harbour is well enclosed and rated one of the better hurricane holes on the eastern seaboard.
Practical
About 70 berths taking boats up to 30 metres. There are showers and toilets, a landscaped patio over the estuary, and a galley for self-catering. The historic village of Wickford is half a mile away on foot.
Ashore
Wickford village, half a mile from the berths, holds one of the largest groups of 18th-century Colonial and Federal houses in the country. Main Street has shops, cafes and the town dock, reachable on foot or by tender across the harbour.
