Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from offshore with the chalk cliffs as landmark. Sand and mud bottom. Fully open to the south sector, and to all winds from the seaward quarter. Use only in settled offshore weather with winds from the E to W through the land. Strong tidal streams run parallel to the coast along this part of the Channel.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Saint-Valery-en-Caux lies 4.5 NM east with a lock-controlled harbour, Fécamp 10.5 NM south-west. Both offer fuel, water and full berthing.
Ashore
Veulettes village fronts the beach with shops and restaurants along the seafront. The GR21 coastal path crosses the valley here, linking the clifftops east toward Saint-Valery and west toward the Valleuse de Vaucottes.
