Guide
Approach and anchoring
Lies on the GIWW just inside the Venice inlet, which gives direct deep-water access to the Gulf of Mexico. Roberts Bay is sheltered; keep to the marked channel as the bay shoals outside it.
Practical
68 slips for vessels up to about 24 metres, on a basin with a fuel berth. Onsite waterfront dining room, pool, and fitness room. Member and reciprocal use; transient berths subject to availability.
History
The club was founded in 1951 by a group of Gulf Coast boaters. The Venice Youth Boating Association, a youth sailing programme, began here in 1952. Roberts Bay takes its name from Robert Roberts, who settled its southern shore in the 1870s.
