Approach and anchoring
Wilson Harbour lies 11 miles east of Youngstown and the mouth of the Lower Niagara River. The marked harbour entrance leads into Sunset Bay. Approach depth is about 2.9 metres, dockside depth around 1.8 metres, suiting a maximum draught of 2.13 metres. VHF 16.
Practical
150 berths on fixed and floating pontoons, with 5 transient berths for visitors. Clubhouse with facilities. Wilson Yacht Club and Wilson Boatyard Marina sit within 0.1 mile if the visitor berths are full.
History
The club was founded in 1968 on Clark Island, formerly Wintergreen Island. It is a regular host of the Wilson Harbor Racing Association and a common destination for boats from reciprocal Canadian clubs across the lake.
