Guide
Approach and anchoring
Wisteria Island, also called Christmas Tree Island, lies north of the Key West waterfront. Anchor in sand west of the main ship channel, in depths around 8 feet, holding well enough but open to most other directions. Currents run hard and the steady boat traffic makes the anchorage lively.
Practical
A & B Marina lies 1.1 nm N in Key West Bight with a fuel berth and deep-water berths for large vessels. Galleon Marina is also 1.1 nm N. Bring the tender into the Bight for provisions and the shops and bars of the old town.
