Approach and anchoring
Approach from the main river channel. The marina sits within the Thousand Island Park community, with the state park marina and two further yards within 1.1 miles to the south-east. Short-term dockage at the Pavilion is limited to 4 hours in season and overnight stops are not permitted there.
Practical
Docks, slips and moorings for hire managed by the Thousand Island Park Corporation. The community has a library, golf course and the Wellesley Hotel. The Thousand Island Park Yacht Club runs sailing lessons and summer race days.
History
Thousand Island Park was founded in 1875 as a Methodist camp meeting association by Reverend John Ferdinand Dayan. By 1894 the summer village held nearly 600 cottages plus hotels. Three fires in 1912 destroyed about 100 homes and the Columbian Hotel. The district has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982.
