Approach and anchoring
The anchorage sits among the islands of the upper St. Lawrence and gives shelter from north-west through south-east winds. The bottom is mud and weed, which holds well once the anchor is set.

Water is available. Chalk's Marina lies about 0.2 miles south, with a marine store, launch ramp and fuel. Bill and Jack's Marina is about 0.3 miles south. Both have served the river for decades.
