Guide

Approach and anchoring

Enter the harbour from Fishers Island Sound or Watch Hill Passage through the breakwater gap in the north-east corner. The anchorage holds in sand but room is tight, as much of the inner harbour is taken up by moorings. Protection runs from N round to SE; the harbour is exposed to the south and south-west.

Practical

Cardinal Cove Marina lies 0.9 nm to the NE. The Wadawanuck Club, a private members club founded in 1908 with sailing and dining, sits 1.1 nm to the east at the head of the harbour. Launch and pump-out services operate within the harbour.
