Municipal 136-berth marina on the north side of the Straits of Mackinac, at the south end of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, with Mackinac Island 4.5 NM to the east.

Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the Straits with about 4.5 metres of water at the berths. Working VHF channel 6, monitored on 16. Floating pontoons, largest vessel handled 36 metres, up to 45 metres alongside.
Practical
96 visitor berths, 30 and 50 amp shore power, heads, showers, laundry, WiFi in the lounge, 24-hour security. Fuel berth supplies petrol, diesel and Valvtech, with pump-out and an 80-ton travel lift.
Ashore
Ferries to Mackinac Island leave from the city docks adjacent to the marina. The Museum of Ojibwa Culture and Father Marquette National Memorial are within walking distance.
History
St Ignace was founded in 1671 when the Jesuit Jacques Marquette established a mission named for Ignatius of Loyola. From 1923 to 1957 it was the northern terminus of the Michigan State car ferries across the Straits, replaced by the Mackinac Bridge on 1 November 1957.
