Approach and anchoring

Mud bottom with all-round shelter from the surrounding shores. Holding in Annapolis city waters is generally poor, and boats are known to drag when wind or current shifts. Fresh water is available ashore.

Practical

South Annapolis Yacht Centre lies 0.6 miles east and Old Towne Marina 0.7 miles east for berths and services. Boats anchored more than three days in city waters must register with the city, and ground tackle may not be left to reserve a spot.

Ashore

Truxtun Park borders the head of the creek, with playing fields, a pool and woodland trails. Downtown Annapolis and the United States Naval Academy lie a short way down the creek.
