Guide

Approach and anchoring

Enter from Lake Michigan between the north and south piers, a channel about 165 ft wide. The red South Pier lighthouse, first lit in 1872, marks the south side of the entrance. Approach and dockside depth about 7 ft.

Practical

Seasonal and transient berths from 30 to 60 ft, with broadside dockage along a 600 ft wall. 30-amp shore power throughout, 50-amp on some berths. Showers, heads, laundry and picnic areas on site. Transient bookings through the Michigan DNR system. Open 15 April to 15 October.

Ashore

North Beach on Lake Michigan sits beside the harbour entrance. Downtown South Haven, with shops and restaurants, is a short walk along the Black River.
