Approach and anchoring
Enter Mission Bay between the north and south jetties, then turn south into Quivira Basin between Quivira Point and Hospitality Point. The basin is sheltered from ocean swell. Speed limit inside the basin is 5 knots. The fuel berth and boat launches sit on the same shoreline.
Practical
Berths are mostly 25, 30 and 35 ft, often shared two boats per slip. Insurance with USD 500,000 liability cover required, plus a recent survey for vessels over 20 years old. Address 1677 Quivira Road. Office 619 224 6807.
Ashore
Seaforth Sportfishing and whale-watching boats leave from the next quay. Mission Beach boardwalk is 1.5 miles north across the bay. Belmont Park amusement pier and SeaWorld San Diego, 2 miles north-east, sit on the same bay.
