Approach and anchoring
Approach from the southern entrance of the golfe, then up the Auray river channel watching the buoyage. Sand bottom, good holding. All-round shelter thanks to the river bend. Tidal streams remain moderate here compared with the outer pass at Port-Navalo.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services. Locmariaquer lies 1.3 nm east with pontoon, water and shops. Port Deun Marine is 1.9 nm to the north-west.
Ashore
From Locmariaquer, megalithic site of the Table des Marchands and Grand Menhir Brisé at 600 m from the quay, managed by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux. Oyster stalls along the quay sell Morbihan flat oysters direct from the producer.
